Sustainability isn’t just about helping the environment. It’s also about bettering our community through methods that help our economic growth and improve the quality of life for people in general.

Here’s an explanation of the four awards we give at the Henry Bellmon Awards Gala:

Quality of Life for All Award: Improving the quality of life for our community members by increasing thoughtful support, improving living conditions, and encouraging healthy places to live, work, and play.

Responsible Economic Growth Award: Supporting healthy economic growth through local job creation, entrepreneurial green jobs, and supporting local businesses.

Environmental Stewardship Award: Helping to protect our natural resources in the plant and animal communities by reducing waste, cleaning up ecosystems, and using environmental processes or activities to accomplish these efforts.

The Henry Bellmon Award: For exemplifying sustainability leadership by a balanced approach in all three key areas.
